It looks very beautiful in natural finish, the ash has a stunningly vivid grain. Humbucker + single-coil in the neck position, 5-way switch and 3-band equalizer. You can dial in every possible sound. The bass guitar sits perfectly in the mix, exactly in its place. Ergonomically the bass is simply perfect — the neck is fabulous, very fast and comfortable across the entire range. Everything is perfectly balanced both in terms of sound and comfort. For those who are familiar with Stingrays but not with Sterlings, I will explain the difference between these two bass guitars in a few words. In sound: Sterlings have slightly different electronics and pickups with ceramic magnets, while modern Stingrays have Alnico, because of this (partly because of the bass body shape as well) the Sterling has a sound more pronounced in the lower mid-range, with a bit more growl.
