2017 Fender Custom Shop 1955 Stratocaster Heavy Relic `55 Desert Tan Over Chocolate 2-Color Sunburst NEW New from the Fender factory Stratocaster with all papers, case, etc. This instrument replicates a 1955 Stratocaster with period-correct specifications: body made of two pieces of select light ash, 1954 U profile neck made of a one-piece quartersawn maple with nitrocellulose lacquer finish (same as the body), and a maple fretboard. A feature of the guitar is its unusual color - an artificially aged finish with two layers of different colors (a two-tone chocolate sunburst covered with a "worn" aged tan), made as if the guitar had been repainted. The vintage look of the guitar is complemented by a yellowed pickguard. The neck has 21 6105 Narrow Jumbo frets with black Micarta inlays. The unmistakably recognizable classic sound of this Stratocaster is provided by three Custom Shop '55 Strat single-coil pickups (hand-wound) with Alnico III magnets and '54 covers.
