2008 Ibanez JS BDG Black Dog Joe Satriani Signature Limited Edition 1 of 88 A very rare signature model of Satriani from the 2000s, during his emergence as a great virtuoso guitarist. The original Ibanez Blackdog was the first Ibanez JS prototype (later JS1); in 2008 Ibanez released 88 copies of this guitar as a limited edition (50 in the USA and 38 for other countries). The guitar was made in the small Nagoya Ibanez Custom Shop. All of the guitar's graphics are under the lacquer, so rest assured, they will not wear off. To this day, even beaten-up versions of this edition go for no less than 7k, guitars in good condition cost more than $8000. The guitar is increasing in value among collectors. For example, this guitar had only one owner who stored it carefully and loved it; the guitar was played, but this wear is barely noticeable. The guitar is VERY light - it weighs about 2.6 kg, the balance of the neck and body is gorgeous, it's like a feather. It sounds quite meaty, and with tasty lows, which I rarely observed in Ibanezes before; for me, Ibanezes were always "squeaky and buzzing", I would say that this guitar made me realize that not all Ibanezes are crap. Of course, this is also a find for collectors, the guitar is extremely rare, collectible and is increasing in value every year. Included with the guitar is a brand-name case similar to road cases; it looks very expensive and is made well. Also included are all documents, the tremolo arm, and a plaque - a certificate under glass with the signature of Joe Satriani (each of the 88 guitars was personally signed by him).
