This guitar is one of the earliest ones, essentially a PRS Martin Simpson Signature prototype - this is evidenced by the signature of Martin Simpson and Private Stock on the headstock and the serial number inside the guitar. PRS Private Stock is the pinnacle of guitar building, in this case it is simply a masterpiece acoustic, executed perfectly in every smallest detail. Handcrafted. All the fine-tuning by the best craftsmen of the PRS factory, the best selected wood. Just insanely beautiful wood. Paul Reed Smith himself plays EVERY PRS Private Stock acoustic, everything is under his control. This particular guitar is most likely the only one in the world, as it has a body (back and sides) made of Tasmanian Blackwood and a top made of the VERY best, top-segment resonant spruce - Adirondack Spruce! The neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fretboard.
