John Suhr worked at Fender Custom Shop for many years, left and opened his own small custom shop factory to produce guitars that sound even better than Custom Shop Fender. The Classic S Antique model has a medium-thickness 60’s C vintage medium neck profile, Indian rosewood or maple fretboard, and V63 single-coil pickups. The Classic S Antique retains many of the traditional characteristics of the Classic Antique, including the SSCII noise reduction system, nitrocellulose finish, and stainless steel frets. Patented Suhr locking tuners and a Gotoh 510 tremolo ensure excellent tuning stability. Since 2018, one of the coolest colors for a strat-style guitar has appeared in the line - Vintage Yellow, a new finish option for the Classic S Antique.
