Suhr SL68 100 Watt Tube Amplifier All Suhr cabinets and amplifiers are handmade in the USA! This is a premium boutique company. The Suhr SL68 amplifier is a no-compromise, hand-wired tube amplifier, designed to provide the full spectrum of classic British-style amplifier tones at any volume. The SL series reacts dynamically to every nuance of your playing style and instrument; by turning your guitar's volume knob, you can go from sparkling transparent clean to a growling Variac™* style overdrive. The amplifier sounds great when paired with the Suhr 2x12 Speaker Cabinet as well as other Suhr cabinets. Each SL68 amplifier features four inputs (for normal and high sensitivity), a low/high power switch, a master volume control (located on the rear panel), and is built on EL-34 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. ONE CHANNEL WITH 4 INPUTS CHANNEL I INPUT top: has high sensitivity and sounds brighter than channel II. CHANNEL I INPUT bottom: has low sensitivity and offers a slightly warmer tone. This transformer sounds clear, dynamic, and gives the amplifier authoritative authenticity. MASTER VOLUME CONTROL Suhr SL68 amplifiers are equipped with a post-phase inverter volume control. This type of volume control is very effective for transparently managing the amplifier's output. When the control is at 10, it is completely transparent and out of the circuit. Start turning the volume down, and the amplifier's volume can be reduced to a whisper level.
