2017 PRS McCarty 594 10 Top Soapbar McCarty Sunburst Condition is close to perfect - there are only slight signs of wear like pick scratches. It is a limited edition straight from the PRS factory - essentially the same McCarty 594, but with top-tier soapbar pickups. This edition was available for dealer orders for only 2 months, then we waited for half a year and we are still waiting for some guitars. This is a 10 TOP, and it is gorgeous, look at the photos, the guitar does not need a description of its beauty. Weight is only 3.7 kg In all honesty, I will say - the guitar will not be as versatile as the McCarty 594 with humbuckers (since they have coil-splits), but people who love the vintage P90-style sound will be thrilled by how much the sonic characteristics of the soapbars have been improved! The guitar has its own sound character, it is definitely a must-have, which will replace your Gibson with soapbars, which you will immediately want to sell. There is no unnecessary noise, every note is readable both in chords and in solos, the sound and output of the pickups are regulated so diversely by the tone and volume that you can get both a growling humbucker sound on the bridge and piercing glass, by removing the tone you can get a colossal vintage sound, playing with a slide on such a sound you are generally transported to the 50s, but only in your hands you have a high-end instrument of indescribable beauty! I played the guitar for a long time, compared it with a Gibson with P90 and P100, the latter faded and lost by two or three times in terms of sound quality, its evenness and character; the sustain of the PRS wood is also better even than a vintage instrument, in general, only pluses. PRS refined the Seymour Duncan Soapbar to perfection, for which we thank them, they continue to delight and monitor quality, so that even such, in essence, albeit limited, but serial guitars sound at the level of expensive Private Stock, thus being more accessible, there is no personalization and unique approach, but otherwise the guitars are just fire!!! Moreover, the entire PRS Core Models line. Guitar specifications: Mahogany body with 10 Top maple top Mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fretboard 24.594” scale length - something between a SC and a 25-inch PRS scale PRS / Seymour Duncan Soapbar Treble & Bass pickups - soapbars refined to perfection 2 tone + 2 volume controls give maximum convenience for adjusting the volume and tone of the two pickups separately. 3-way toggle switch moved to the upper horn (like on an LP) - for those who are used to the LP switch at the top but want a superstrat-shaped guitar. New Pattern Vintage neck carve profile, has the same width as the Pattern Regular, but is thicker from front to back, it is designed asymmetrically - less massive on the thin string side, meatier on the bass side. In terms of feel, this is the thickest PRS neck today, and also, as a quite logical consequence - this neck has the greatest sustain. You won't really be able to do shreds on this guitar, but to carve out fat notes... that's just for it. As a fan of thick necks, I declare it one of my favorites today! This is truly a neck "with balls"!
