1994 G&L Asat (George Fullerton & Leo Fender)

1994 G&L Asat (George Fullerton & Leo Fender) G&L Guitars is the last and best (in his own words) brand of guitars by Leo Fender, which he created after leaving Fender and finishing his work with Music Man. Again, in his own words, these are the most perfect guitars he ever made, they took the best from Fender and Music Man and went even further - better paint, better hardware, specially designed pickups (across the entire model line), and attention to the smallest details. Their American instruments are made at the former Fender factory in Fullerton, California, where the true traditions of quality guitar building live and develop to this day. This telecaster (or Asat, as this model is called by G&L) was made in 1994 and is still in completely original condition. There have been absolutely no breakages, repairs, replacements, or upgrades - everything is exactly as it was on the day the guitar left the factory. For a 21-year-old instrument, it is quite well preserved. There are dings, scratches, etc. - all clearly visible in the photos, but there are, of course, no structural or functional defects. The guitar is made of ash with a beautiful wood grain, the maple neck provides very good brightness and warmth. The pickups are something like "single-coils on steroids", single-coils with larger coils and wider than usual magnets. They produce a sound very similar to a P-90 or Jazzmaster, but with a tighter bottom end and a solid output. G&L originally patented these pickups and they are available only on G&L guitars. Other features include a massive cast bridge, cast saddles, an iron control plate, and proprietary Sperzel tuners. It comes with the Fender hard case shown in the photo.
