Only the potentiometers were changed, but the original ones are included. This particular variant has an even thinner fast neck; moreover, it is worn by time and devoid of lacquer, which gives very cool sensations while playing. Everyone who listened to the guitar discovered their own sound in it. For instance, one person turned the tone to zero on the neck pickup and played Money For Nothing for me note-for-note with the Dire Straits studio recording. Another played Cinderella. I, of course, played Page and Slash. '70s Standards with everything original are a great rarity and often cost more than Customs, and are encountered less frequently, selling for 4000-5000 $ or more even in the USA; in the last year, prices for Norlin Era LPs have skyrocketed. What else is surprising is the performance of the potentiometers - perfect, nothing crackles, and they smoothly increase tone and volume on both pickups. Honestly, I'm shocked at how it all could be preserved so well!!! This is clearly an indicator of the high-quality assembly of the instrument, since to this day it intonates and sounds perfectly in every sense. The tone is very deep. Another thing - when playing through overdrive and you need to switch to clean, and say there is no footswitch - we use the volume knob and roll it down almost to zero. A true Gibson will give a crystalline sound with a slight looseness. And yes!!! There is crystalline clean even on gain with the volume almost rolled off, especially in the neck position. The most important thing for me - an LP must have a hooligan, loose, unhinged sound! That is a real Gibson! We get all this on this LP when playing into ANY equipment, be it a Mesa Mark V, Marshall, or Soldano or something else. When recording, it sounds just as good as when playing live! With other guitars, you have to struggle, twist knobs... here everything is perfect - just plug in and go. I have never had it happen where you pick up a guitar and immediately write a song. Now, as soon as I pick up my LP or this one - the notes just run, everything is written easily and effortlessly. You can consider me whoever you want, but I believe that a guitar has its own soul, just like a person, it has emotions and a mood, and here my inner musical world is completely complemented by the world of this guitar. I don't know, words can't explain it. For example - you take the guitar, record a solo jam, and it sounds perfect, and all the notes are spot on and with soul. This guitar will fulfill the old-school style for the new owner - classic rock. I don't think specs are worth listing... but there is one important point - the body on this one, unlike mine, is not a pancake, but ONE PIECE! Which means it has more sustain and is valued higher. The neck is made of three pieces of maple, just like the top, but the joints are not visible at all; I even thought the top was one-piece, but then I found the joints under a certain light and viewing angle, the pieces are perfectly even - back then, Gibson selected wood well. The guitar is in quite good condition for its age of 43 years, look at the photos, there are of course some marks, but nothing brutal, the frets on the guitar are original - wide and flat "Fretless wonder", there is wear, but you can still play and play on them, even the pickguard has been preserved. Только потениометры были поменяны, но родные в комплекте. Именно этот вариант имеет даже более тонкий скоростной гриф, более того он стерт временем и без лака, что дает очень классные ощущения при игре. Каждый, кто слушал гитару открывал в ней для себя свой звук. Так, один человек убрал тон в ноль на нэке и сыграл мне Money For Nothing в ноль со студийной записью Dire Straits. Другой – синдереллу. Я конечно же Пейджа и Слеша. Стандарты 70-х со всем родным являются очень большой редкостью и зачастую стоят больше чем кастомы, и реже встречаются и продаются от 4000-5000 $ даже в США, а иногда и дороже, последний год цены на Norlin Era ЛП вообще взлетели до небес. Что еще удивляет – работа потенциометров – идеально ничего не хрипит и плавно увеличивает тон и громкость на обоих датчиках. Я, честно говоря, в шоке как все могло так сохраниться!!! Это явно показатель высококачественной сборки инструмента, раз он по сей день так идеально строит и звучит во всех планах. Тон очень глубокий. Еще одна вещь – когда играешь через перегруз и нужно перейти на клин, а футсвича допустим нет – юзаем ручку громкости и выкручиваем почти в ноль ее. Трушный гибсон будет давать кристальный звук с легкой рыхлостью. И да!!! Кристальный клин есть даже на гейне с почти убранной громкостью, особенно в нэке. Самое главное для меня – ЛП должен быть с хулиганским рыхлым разболтанным звуком! Вот это тогда настоящий гибсач! Это все получаем на этом ЛП при игре в ЛЮБОЙ аппарат, будь то Mesa Mark V, Marshall или Soldano или еще что-то. При записи он звучит так же, как и при игре в живую! В другими гитарами нужно трахаться, крутить ручки..тут же все идеально – просто включил и погнал. У меня никогда не было такого, что берешь гитару и сочиняешь сразу песню. Сейчас как только я беру в руки свой ЛП и тот – ноты сами бегут, все пишется легко и не принужденно. Можете меня считать кем угодно, но я считаю что у гитары есть своя душа, как и человек, она имеет эмоции, настроение, и тут мой внутренний мир музыкальный полностью дополняется миром этой гитары. Я не знаю, словами это объяснить не получается. Если примером – берешь гитару, пишешь соляк джемом и он звучит идеально и все ноты в кассу и с душой. Эта гитара заполнит новому хозяину стиль олдскула – классик рок. Спецификации думаю не стоит расписывать... но есть один важный момент - дека на этой в отличии от моей не бутербродом, а ОДНИМ КУСКОМ! Т.е. сустейна у нее больше и ценится она выше. Гриф из трех кусоков клена, как и топ, но стыки вообще не видны, я даже подумал, что топ однокусковый, но потом нашел таки стыки под определенным светом и углом просмотра, куски идеально ровные - тогда еще дерево Gibson отбирали хорошо. Гитара в довольно хорошем состоянии на свой возраст в 43 года, смотрите фотки, есть конечно отметинки, но ничего брутального, лады на гитаре родные - широкие и плоские "Fretless wonder", износ есть но на них еще можно играть и играть, пикгард даже сохранился.
