2013 PRS Mark Tremonti USA Fire Red Burst Signature guitar of Mark Tremonti from Creed and Alter Bridge. Comfort: I don't think it's worth telling everyone once again that PRS SC (singlecut) shape guitars are significantly more comfortable to play than Les Pauls, access to all frets is very convenient up to the 22nd fret. On the PRS Tremonti signature, this is that rare case when a thin Pattern Thin neck is on a singlecut! I personally don't use the tremolo, and on this guitar it doesn't bother me, my hand sits just right on the beloved 25 inch scale, however I will say that this tremolo is one of the best, the tuning doesn't drift at all even after active use, the unit works in both directions, so there is minimal stress, this is not a Floyd! Of course, everything under the right hand is also made comfortably, the body milling is admirable, as on any PRS. 4 knobs like on an LP - two volumes, two tones for each pickup and a 3-way switch provide maximum convenience when switching from one pickup to another, you can make a "killswitch" with the knobs, like on an LP... in short, everything is done the right way! Sound: one could write for a very long time here... The guitar is very versatile, both clean and overdriven. In the neck position, the guitar has a warm tube tone with pronounced lows and mids on clean, and highs with mids in the bridge, the guitar sounds as if it has a piezo, like an acoustic, it's amazing..., and with overdrives the guitar sounds tight, focused, modern in both pickup positions. In the neck there is a veeery warm sound, and in the bridge it's just wild meat. Furthermore, a distinctive feature of this model is that it is made without any weight relief (holes and chambers), everything is done according to the Pre-Lawsuit SingleCut canon, when they were solid-body. The guitar is in excellent condition, there is one small dent on the back of the body and minor scratches, but nothing serious! Comes with a full set of all documents, spare parts, tremolo arm, adjustment tools, original case, etc. - everything just like from the factory! To sum up, I was very impressed by the sound and comfort when my first PRS Tremonti fell into my hands! Thanks to the type of pickups, warmth and clarity of sound are preserved in the neck, and a cutting middle and highs in the bridge. The guitar growls on overdrive and is crystal clear on clean, any tunings sound perfect without additional adjustment. I really liked the tremolo, working in 2 directions, it doesn't drift at all during active use. Its differences from ordinary PRS SingleCuts are that it is slightly thinner, the neck is thinner - which is a rarity for singlecuts and rather an exception, and it is without holes in the body for weight relief. The guitar immediately fit into my hand, as if it belonged there, the neck is perfect, nothing superfluous in the knobs - the familiar Les Paul style 2 volumes and 2 tones. The color is simply gorgeous!!! Played through a Mesa Alter Bridge - the sound is 1 to 1!!! In short... If you want to get Mark Tremonti's sound - reserve it, come take it!!!
