2003 PRS McCarty Royal Blue Birds in Flight PRS McCarty, named after Ted McCarty, former vice president of Gibson and later a consultant and mentor to the then-young company Paul Reed Smith. Perhaps one of the most famous and most "authentic" models by Paul Reed Smith, which has been in production since its founding to this day. This instrument features bird inlays, a beautiful tiger-stripe top, and comes with its completely original set, original case, and documents. The McCarty model is a sibling to the PRS Custom — it features the same mahogany body, maple top, and shape, with the only difference being that the McCarty features vintage Kluson tuners (like those on Gibsons), warmer PRS McCarty pickups, and usually comes with a Wide Fat neck profile (which is also very common on the Custom), as well as a 3-way switch + push/pull for coil-splitting the humbuckers into single-coils (which, by the way, is also found on the Custom model as an option). The guitar has absolutely no structural or functional problems. However, it was a professional musician's workhorse and was used often and extensively; according to the seller, it saw half of America over its 11-year life. Гитара в структурном и функциональном плане не имеет абсолютно никаких проблем.
