I will say right away about the features of this guitar - it is a custom color not available for order - Gray Black Smokeburst, selected from dozens, the best maple top. In general, externally the guitar is ideal in my opinion, especially for this model - the maple top pattern can be said to be 10 Top, which half of some higher-class models would envy, and of course, the color is one of my favorites. Now, for those who are not in the know, about the model itself... This is one of the first PRS series - CE (Classic Electric) - it was available since 1988 and was produced until the mid-2000s, but later its production was discontinued (at that time they had half-moon inlays in 95% of cases). In 2016, at the NAMM show, it was brought back and presented in a new light. Now it does not have 22 and 24 fret variants, now it is only 24 frets and tremolo, however, the guitar is equipped with the same pickups as the PRS Custom 24 (85/15), which costs twice as much, the wood is essentially the same, but the neck is maple, the rest is the same: rosewood fretboard, mahogany body with a maple top, but the neck is bolt-on and it is a Pattern Thin profile, and the electronics are standard, like on customs - volume, push-pull on the tone for coil splitting and a 3-way switch. The main difference from Core Models is less routing in the wood (under the volume and tone knobs, under the backplate), 3-piece bolt-on maple neck. Considering the price tag for a new guitar - it is simply ideal in this segment, slightly more expensive than S2, but already a true American with bird inlays.
