This is the 2019 edition; the primary changes from all previous years are first and foremost the Zebrawood top, which is available only on this model and on PRS Private Stock instruments starting from 10k USD, as well as the Paul Reed Smith logo like on American PRS guitars, and perhaps most importantly - the pickups, which were designed at the USA factory, copying the design of the American 85/15 pickups and adding the S marking - the guitars began to look and sound a cut above, however the purchase cost has also increased; be prepared to pay an additional 100 USD for these updates, but they are worth it! A killer cool guitar, even though it is made in Indonesia, the build quality is excellent; furthermore, like all my guitars, I source them only from the USA, which means the guitar was made for the USA market, where quality control is much higher than in other countries! All the hardware is better than on older SE models, the tremolo holds tuning very well, the tuners are remarkable. Thanks to the new pickups, there is no point in changing them - they are really better, more transparent and clearer than those on older Korean Customs. The wood resonates excellently, and this specific guitar has a magnificent top with a perfectly matched Zebrawood pattern - look at the photos, it is beautiful! According to the specifications, the instrument is made similarly to an American PRS. Only the price is of course several times lower than for an American one (Americans are also in stock and available for order). So if you are not ready to shell out from 3 to 15k - you are welcome to pay attention to this model from the Korean PRS factory. It is worth every cent! The guitar body has a double-cut shape (superstrat) and is made of mahogany + maple top with a zebrawood veneer, wide thin maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and signature PRS bird inlays, 25-inch scale length and tremolo, 24 frets - a PRS classic. Volume, tone with push-pull for coil splitting and a 3-way selector provide a variety of 6 sound options. The neck itself is thin and fast, you can play solos at high speeds and shred.
