The ESP/LTD Snakebyte is equipped with a TonePros T3BT bridge with a TonePros T1Z tailpiece and a pair of active humbuckers: EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 60 in the neck position. Naturally, the guitar has high-quality and beautiful hardware. The Snakebyte sounds a bit rougher and harder than one might expect from a guitar that has structural similarities to the one that gave life to “Enter Sandman”. The bridge pickup delivers a powerful and hard sound with a kind of roughness at the edges that gives the sound even more aggression. Perhaps this is due to its massive body; the Snakebyte guitar receives more energy and accordingly transmits it. Meanwhile, the neck humbucker is great for bluesy bends with good sustain, like “Nothing Else Matters”, however, one should not think that playing at high speeds is impossible. The Snakebyte will handle sweeping, shredding, and tapping without problems. And the cutaway mentioned above will allow reaching the 22nd fret without problems.
