2016 Gretsch Masterbuilt Stephen Stern G6130-CS 1955 Roundup Knotty Pine Custom Shop Relic 6130 The Gretsch Round-Up was first conceived in 1953, when country and western music was gaining traction on the pop charts. Its over-the-top cowboy-style decorations were aimed at aspiring C&W guitarists. With its tooled leather body binding, fretboard inlays that were etched with steer heads and cacti, steer's head logo on the headstock and pickguard and a belt buckle with a homely wagon-train scene that was attached to the tailpiece gave this guitar a unrelenting Western tribute. This was all topped off by a dramatic knotty pine top with a “G” brand embellished on the top. The Gretsch Custom Shop headed up by Stephen Stern has re-created the Gretsch 1955 Roundup "Knotty Pine" electric guitar. With all the attention to detail Stephen carefully took every measurement and spec from an original 1955 Gretsch Roundup and has come up with the most amazing creation.
