PRS Private Stock #7097 McCarty Singlecut SC 594 Blue Slate Glow PS Ladkor When I play concerts with this guitar, I am often asked "what PRS is this?", "what is it made of?", "wow, what a beauty, what a top", "how much does it cost?"... so I decided to create a separate topic with photos of my instrument and a detailed description here. IT IS NOT FOR SALE, but you can always order a similar one from me or one to your own PRS Private Stock specifications. So these photos are purely for the gallery and as an example! I chose the specifications of my PS for a very long time and matured for it as well. The thing is, I have two PRSs - both are double-cut Custom 22s with a fixed bridge, but with different wood - a 2009 Artist Package with a mahogany neck and ebony fretboard with open Motor City Extreme pickups, and the second is a Wood Library with an Indian rosewood neck and Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and the pickups are covered 57/08 in the neck and 59/09 in the bridge. The choice of form factor for Private Stock was obvious to me - Singlecut, the neck accordingly had to be rosewood, but with an ebony fretboard, to be quite diverse I decided to choose light Brazilian rosewood for the neck, and a slightly light (for rosewood) fretboard made of exotic ebony, available only in PRS Private Stock. I also decided to put black limba on the body, after finding out that it is elite korina, rarer and more expensive, essentially the same as mahogany, but cooler in all parameters. I definitely wanted backplates from selected black limba wood. The color and top were chosen by me from a similar PS McCarty 24 Frets, which I found on the internet and gave it to the factory as an example, I just fell in love with this color! I wanted something exclusive and understood that I would not sell this guitar, so I asked to make a Ladkor inscription on the guitar head along the eagle. Also, the model itself was chosen by me immediately after I received a regular SC594 in stock in 2016, I realized that the vintage asymmetrical thick neck is a very comfortable thing, just the best that is available today and the 58/15 LT pickups would be an excellent replacement for my Gibson Les Paul Standard, on which I mainly played hard rock, and that's how it turned out - the guitar became the perfect replacement - much better in convenience, more transparent and covered all the needs for a Les Paul! In addition, it has gorgeous single-coil taps on the tone push-pulls! A few details - new tuning pegs, ebony buttons on the pegs, smoky (black) hardware and 30tn Anniversary Birds were quickly thought out by me, because in principle I ordered this guitar for my 30-year anniversary. The birds themselves, by the way, are very specific - they are made of the same maple as the top, and matched with the same color, covered on top, so they seem voluminous, and around the birds are outlines made of natural abalone! I have different cases, I chose the one I don't have - made of brown leather. The guitar turned out to be just a MASTERPIECE!
