Moreover, it is a sophisticated Artist Package, which includes options such as Artist Grade Flame Maple Top, Hybrid Hardware, All Select Wood - the best selected lightweight wood, Artist birds and a mother-of-pearl inscription on the headstock... in short, a work of art from the best masters in the world. In 2021, it is impossible to order an Artist Package from the factory, so this is the last AP and there will be no more! Artist Package - these are PRS upgrades that mainly concern the wood - this is all the most selected wood, the best and most beautiful top, an ebony fretboard, the headstock is also finished in the color of the fretboard from the same ebony. The birds are made of the most beautiful natural abalone, the hardware perfectly matches the color of the guitar - cold blue with chrome. The case is like the Private Stock one, but with a black pattern. The case alone is worth nearly $500. Many guitarists and collectors were waiting for PRS to release something à la Gibson, but with PRS quality; many wanted a bridge design that was not just one piece - but two, like on Gibsons - tune-o-matic. PRS previously released the SC58 model - which became the first model with a 2-piece bridge. The new model features the same 2-piece bridge (à la tune-o-matic) as on the SC58, but with a 24.594" scale, like on the MC594 model, incidentally also introduced a bit earlier in mid-2016. The first SC594 was introduced in early December 2016 in the Private Stock Guitar Of The Month November edition, however, it had different wood specifications and, of course, a different price. The PRS SC 594 is primarily oriented towards a vintage sound with a modern look and high-end details; this PRS certainly has its own updated sound, but primarily it is oriented towards people who love the old vintage sound of the 50s, only without the hum, woodenness in convenience, etc. It's the old sound wrapped like candy in the best wood, best tops, hardware, etc. It immediately feels familiar in the hands with a recognizable sound. Moreover, the guitar has coil-taps for single-coil (push-pull on the tone), 2 volumes and 2 tones like on a LP, as well as a 3-way selector on the upper horn. Truly a masterpiece and universal guitar, and also beautiful and comfortable. What is so new about it? I will name at least 10 of the most important factors distinguishing it from other models: 1) 24.594” scale - something between the SC and the 25-inch PRS scale, still just as comfortable. 2) 58/15 LT pickups. LT stands for low turns, which gives the guitar a soft, transparent tone. IMHO - the best pickups to date EVER, the most honest, focused and correct! 3) 2 tones + 2 volumes give maximum convenience in controlling the volume and tone of the two pickups separately. 4) Relocated to the top (like on an LP) 3-way switch - for those who are used to the LP switch on top. 5) Push-pull on the tone - splits the humbuckers into single-coils, which makes the guitar very universal in sound. 6) New Pattern Vintage neck carve, has the same width as the Pattern Regular, but from front to back it is thicker, it is asymmetrically designed - on the thin strings side it is less massive, on the bass side - more meaty. The instrument follows the shape of the palm, so it fits into the hands immediately. This is the most comfortable neck to date that I have touched, a neck "with balls"! 7) Updated Phase III Locking tuners - specifically, adjustment bolts for the tuners' travel, their "glide", have been added. 8) Tune-O-Matic (TOM) + Bridge - like on an LP and SC58. 9) Binding on the neck (white edge). 10) This very guitar with ebony is associated in my mind with a good, solid, sharp and meaty LP Custom! Because of the ebony, of course! Only much more comfortable and more melodic! I won't even mention the love for details; every screw here is screwed in with love! The guitar's color is very well complemented by the mixed hardware! Altogether, it's just a bomb of a guitar!!!
