2010 PRS Singlecut SC245 25th Anniversary Scarlet Smokeburst If you are looking for a vintage-style LP, this guitar is a fantastic contender! It has very responsive wood and pickups with a vintage flavor. But unlike its Gibson Les Paul competitors, the Singlecut has better access to the high frets, a more beautiful appearance, is more refined than an LP, and yet the boldness of the sound is preserved; it turned out to be an ideal in terms of sound and appearance. The guitar body is made of one piece of mahogany with a ONE-PIECE (!) maple top, the neck is also a one-piece mahogany with a rosewood fretboard, on which there are fantastically beautiful ivory birds. The guitar is from the 25th anniversary edition; in the photo there is its street price in the USA in a store - 4200 $. The edition is commemorative and actually very few of them were made, especially in such a beautiful color and with a one-piece top, so the guitar is getting more expensive year after year - a fairly good investment not only for studio and concert work, but also financially profitable, since later it can simply be sold for one and a half times more. The guitar is equipped with 57/08 pickups - so far they are among the best, I especially love their neck sound - the clean tone there is simply stunning! On the headstock there is a rosewood veneer, like on Artist Package editions, as well as an eagle, like on Private Stock and Modern Eagle instruments. Very comfortable neck, you literally cannot tear yourself away from the guitar while playing! Punchy bridge, and with all that, besides shredding, passages sound great as well. The neck has serious resonance, the sustain passes from the neck through the fingers and wrist as it should; while this is common for PRS, it is not for Gibson. The guitar color is a dark red burst transitioning into black, it looks chic!
