2006 PRS Standard 22 Satin Vintage Mahogany

2006 PRS Standard 22 Satin Vintage Mahogany Standards are one of the two first models (along with the Custom) from which PRS started their journey as a guitar manufacturer and earned their name! Paul himself started out with guitars whose body did not have a maple top, and this is exactly what distinguishes them from the Customs - the absence of a maple top, thanks to which the price of the guitars is slightly more accessible; otherwise it is the same Custom 22, the same tuners, the same pickups, etc. The guitar is made in the USA! This guitar is in a satin finish. The body and neck of the guitar are made of solid mahogany, the fretboard is made of Indian rosewood with Abalone Birds. The guitar also has a stoptail bridge and nickel hardware. The neck profile is wide fat. Pickups are the classic Dragon 2 pickups with a five-way rotary switch with humbucker-to-single-coil tapping. Color - Vintage Mahogany. Scale length 25. The guitar sounds open, the wood breathes, and it resonates perfectly. I really love wood without lacquer; a guitar with such a finish sounds somehow special, tasty, and possesses expensive tonal delicacies. The Standard has a very juicy low end and midrange, a ballsy sound with a tasty low end! Resilient, with moderate attack. For a guitar without lacquer, it has been preserved in good condition, there are some light marks, but nothing brutal, the frets are in excellent condition. It comes with the original case, documents, adjustment tools, etc. Currently, black potentiometer knobs with slight perforations for ease of rotation are installed, but the original amber-colored ones are included - we can put them back for anyone who needs them, they are just plastic tops, it depends on what someone likes more...
