It's no secret to anyone that the Holy Grail among Gibson guitars is the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, played by our idols Jimmy Page, Slash, Joe Perry, Keith Richards, Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler, Billy Gibbons, Bonamassa, Ace Frehley, Joe Walsh, ... and dozens of other famous guitarists and collectors. Capitalizing on the hype and the desire to repeat past achievements, the Gibson company decides to make the first reissue of the '59 guitar - that's how the Gibson Les Paul Heritage Series was born. A total of about 3000 copies of the series were produced from 1980 to 1982, the series included three types of models - Standard, Elite, and Award. Standard had a three-piece mahogany neck, Elite - one-piece, Standard - regular top, Elite - quilted top, on the Standard there was a rosewood fretboard, on the Elite - ebony, Award were made only for dealers in a quantity of 50 pieces, differed from the Elite series only by gold-plated hardware and a neck plate on the back of the neck near the serial number, they were made to reward the stores that sold the Heritage series. The guitar is something between a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard and a 1968 Gibson Les Paul Custom due to its specifications, it is a unique piece of art, its sound is inimitable, I haven't heard a Gibson better than this one yet. The same guitar is in the collection and use of Phil Collins, and was also one of the guitars of Les Paul himself. This reissue is the best '59 reissue, closest to the original, this is not just my opinion, this is an objective opinion, you can easily google this, no True Historic or other edition, especially the new ones, compares to this. The potentiometers are dated 1979 and 1980 - this instrument is one of the first Elites made in the series - its number is 21, the guitar was made in late 1979 - early 1980. The guitar is really in collector condition and comes with a Gibson "chainsaw" type plastic case in black with beautiful blue velvet inside. Гитара тут будет интересна как раз не только коллекционерам но и артистам и активным гитарплеерам, тк. она звучит превосходно в любой аппарат и выглядит просто на миллион баксов. Я хотел вторым элитом привезти именно табачный - и сделал это. На гитаре шикарный квилт топ, очень большой, все видно на фотках очень хорошо. Анкер полностью рабочий, крутится все строит, гриф ровный. Потенциометры датируются 1979 и 1980 годами - этот инструмент один из самых первых элитов, сделанных в серии - его номер 21, гитара была сделана в конце 1979 - начале 1980 года. Гитара реально в коллекционном состоянии и идет с гибсоновским кейсом типа "бензопила" пластиковый черного цвета с красивейшим синим бархатом внутри.
