NEW (from shop) Egnater Vengeance 120w Tube Head An aggressive, meaty 120-watt all-tube amp from Egnater. In contrast to their vintage line, this one is tailored for metal and heavy styles, with an incredible amount of gain, density, 'meat', and fine-tuning controls to dial in your perfect sound in every situation. The head is very versatile in terms of architecture; it features 2 channels (each with two overdrive modes), an effects loop, built-in spring reverb, and two master volumes (meaning an additional volume boost via footswitch for a solo or a riff that needs to be highlighted) as well as master density and presence (high-mids) controls. Each channel has INDIVIDUAL: gain, volume, 3-band EQ, and reverb, as well as individual mini-switches: density, bright, mid-frequency (boost or cut), and gain (normal or high-gain, and clean/drive on the first channel). Includes the original 6-button footswitch, which allows you to switch channels, turn the mid-frequency boost/cut on/off for each channel separately, turn the reverb on (configured separately for each channel), turn the effects loop on (which, again, can be linked to both channels or either channel individually), and a volume boost button, which is configured separately on the amp. Other 'bonuses' and 'bells and whistles' present in the amp: - the ability to run it at full 120 or 60 watts, which allows you to get a rich tube sound at a moderate volume (it is not necessary to 'crank' the amp to the full 120 watts for it to sound fat and tight, as it should). - a unique reverb design, which, when switching from a clean channel to overdrive, continues to repeat the last notes of the clean sound without distortion – creating an absolutely natural sense of acoustic echo. - Direct output with cabinet emulation (to a line or recording, into a mixer or a computer) - Parallel effects loop with adjustable send and return levels - Can work with any cabinets (4, 8, 16 ohms) - Can operate on any voltage – 120 or 220 volts directly. This is an incredibly versatile and multi-faceted amplifier; the clean and slightly overdriven sounds also sound very beautiful and pleasant. It can be 'kind' as well, you don't necessarily have to use it for metal, but when needed – it will not let you down, and no one will lack gain or aggressiveness in the sound, that's for sure.
