1998 PRS McCarty Teal Black Relic Natural relic :) One of the first PRS McCarty editions in a beautiful sea-wave color, blue-green depending on the lighting. Probably the closest model to a Les Paul from PRS (after the SC) in terms of sound (it's not for nothing that Ted McCarty was the head of Gibson in the 50s, creating the legendary 1957, 1958 and 1959 Les Pauls), and at the same time more comfortable in shape. The guitar body is made of mahogany with a maple top, a 25” mahogany wide fat neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, 'moon' inlays, DiMarzio PAF Pro neck pickup, DiMarzio Crunch Lab bridge pickup, PRS stoptail bridge (fixed), vintage-style tuners, chrome hardware, tone with push-pull for coil splitting and volume, 3-way switch. The condition is visible in the photos - scuffs down to the wood on the top, along the edges, the logo on the headstock is partially worn off! It spent a long time in the studio, but the frets are normal. Perfectly set up by a guitar tech. A very versatile instrument — the push-pull + 3-way switch give 6 different sounds, thus you get both single-coil and humbucker sounds. Personally, I really love the sound of the push-pull in the neck and middle positions — they are fantastic!!! An excellent instrument for both concerts and studio work!
