Gibson 120th Anniversary Les Paul Signature (absolutely perfect) Essentially this is a Les Paul Standard but with upgrades and in a limited anniversary edition. For example, unique colors, 2-ply binding (similar to Les Paul Custom), special '120th Anniversary' inlay at the 12th fret, and unique wiring, specifically, coil-splitting for both the neck and bridge pickups. For this reason, the instrument is VERY versatile, sounds great in single-coil positions, and of course, in humbucker positions as well. These instruments are made with special attention and all undergo calibration using PLEK technology, which uses ultra-precise computer calculations to bring the neck to perfection to ensure that all frets are perfectly level, nothing protrudes anywhere, and the instrument is absolutely and completely perfect. And the top on this particular Les Paul is simply incredible; it must be said that such a textured tiger-stripe top is rarely seen even on a Supreme or Custom.. The guitar is very coolly 'upgraded'; this instrument, in my opinion, has been brought to absolute perfection in terms of both sound and appearance. List of upgrades: - gold Grover tuners - gold branded die-cast roller nut - gold hardware (truss rod cover, strap locks) - gold pickup covers (removable) - instead of a mini-switch, 2 Push/Pull pots are installed that split the pickups into single-coils individually — neck and bridge (a total of EIGHT sound variations) - instead of the stock 'basic' capacitors, vintage Sprague Orange Drop capacitors are installed, which regulate tone very smoothly, and even when turning down the tone knob a little, the sound remains lively and thick - most importantly — Gibson DIRTY FINGERS pickups! With distortion, this Les Paul is incredibly hot and thick, on a clean sound it is fat and dense, and always, at any amplifier settings — clear and readable, with a good midrange and thick lows, and even if you roll back the volume a little, the sound does not lose liveliness and brightness.
