1988 Gibson Les Paul Standard Black The guitar is in SIMPLY FABULOUS condition for its 26 years of age, there are ABSOLUTELY no defects, cracks, or anything else; honestly, in terms of condition, it has been preserved better than half of the modern, much younger Les Pauls that one encounters around. Pickups – Gibson Burstbucker 2 in the bridge and Gibson 498r in the neck; originally it had other pickups, but the previous owner found this perfect combination for himself. Also – the previous owner upgraded the capacitors for both pickups, there is a K42Y-2 on the neck, and a Jensen Polystyrene on the neck. That's right – just two capacitors cost under 50 bucks, the person definitely put effort into the sound, and you can feel it when playing! I listened to the guitar purely out of interest through half of my amplifiers; it sounds great on all of them, and it maintains its character everywhere—a very focused, dense sound with good attack, and the sustain is completely unreal. In general, this instrument particularly impressed me; I am sure that whoever takes it will immediately fall in love with its sound. Regarding the condition – as I said above, there is only very slight wear, but you would not say the guitar is 25 years old) Nothing serious and, of course, no defects. The only nuance that exists at all is the screw that holds the pickguard over the neck pickup—it broke off, and its base remained in the wood. 1988 Gibson Les Paul Standard Black Гитара в просто СКАЗОЧНОМ состоянии на свой 26-летний возраст, нет АБСОЛЮТНО никаких дефектов, трещин, и прочего, честно – по состоянию сохранился лучше чем половина современных, куда более молодых лес полов которые встречаются вокруг. Датчики – Gibson Burstbucker 2 в бридже и Gibson 498r в неке, изначально в нем стояли другие датчики, но прошлый владелец вот нашел для себя такую идеальную комбинацию. Также – прошлый владелец заапгрейдил конденсаторы для обоих датчиков, на неке стоит K42Y-2, а на неке – Jensen Polystyrene. Вот так – только два конденсатора – под 50 баксов, человек определенно заморочился насчет звучания, и это ощущается при игре! Гитару чисто из интереса переслушал на половине своих усилителей, звучит отлично на всех, причем везде сохраняет свой характер, очень сфокусированный такой, плотный звук, с хорошей атакой, а сустейн вообще нереальный. В общем этот инструмент меня особенно поразил, уверен кто его возьмет – однозначно сразу же влюбится в его звук. По состоянию – как и сказал выше, лишь очень слабый износ но не скажешь что гитаре 25 лет) Ничего серьезного и разумеется никаких дефектов. Единственный нюанс который вообще есть – это винтик который держит пикгард над нековым датчиком – обломался, и в дереве осталось его основание. Сейчас пикгард держит другой винтик вкрученный прямо рядом с ним – этого вообще не видно (оно под пикгардом) и впрочем никак ничему не мешает, и разумеется никак не влияет ни на внешний вид ни на функциональность инструмента.
