2018 PRS Singlecut SC594 Soapbar Artist Package Faded Blue Jean Limited Edition Rosewood Neck Cocobolo NEW Newest guitar. I ordered it back in July 2017, as soon as I received the mailing about the limited edition SC594 Soapbar. The guitar is unique and inimitable due to the fact that it has a rosewood neck and a cocobolo fretboard - this is impossible even on a Wood Library edition; moreover, the Singlecut 594 Soapbar edition itself is now only available in Private Stock with a price of 10k+. By and large, an Artist Package level guitar is Private Stock quality; the difference can only be noticed by a very refined ear and someone who has had dozens of expensive PRS guitars pass through their hands. So... my order was as follows: PRS SingleCut 594 Soapbar Artist Package Faded Blue Jean with IRW and cocobolo fb, nickel hardware - one of my favorite colors (the one on the website's splash screen) and nickel hardware, which suits this color best. The build quality of the guitar is at the highest level - a lot of attention has been paid even to the smallest details, the headstock inlay is made of natural abalone from the depths of the ocean. The pickups are perfectly refined soapbars - the best in the world today. By the way, I haven't met another singlecut like this anywhere at all, so it can be said with confidence that it is one of a kind in terms of specifications and the color with the top. The top, by the way, is Private Stock level!!! It's gorgeous! Guitar specifications: Body made of select mahogany with an Artist Grade Top (option) Indian rosewood neck with a cocobolo fretboard Scale length 24.594” - something between SC and the 25-inch PRS scale Pickups PRS / Seymour Duncan Soapbar Treble & Bass - soapbars refined to perfection 2 tone + 2 volume controls provide maximum convenience for adjusting the volume and tone of the two pickups separately. 3-way switch - for those who are used to the LP switch on top. New Pattern Vintage neck carve profile, has the same width as the Pattern Regular, but is thicker from front to back, it is designed asymmetrically - less massive on the thin string side, more meaty on the bass side. By feel, this is the thickest PRS neck today, and also, as a perfectly logical consequence, this neck has the greatest sustain. You won't really be able to do Steve Vai shredding on this guitar (unless you have quite long fingers), but carving out fat notes and riffs... that is exactly what it's for. As a fan of thick necks, I declare it one of my favorites today! This is truly a neck "with balls"! I have the same personal Private Stock with this neck profile - it's the best neck I've ever held.
