The history of the guitar is as follows: It belonged to one guitarist in the USA for 25 years who sold it to Guitar Center in the year 2000, it was bought by a second owner who played it rarely at home for 15 years, and I bought this guitar from him. The guitar was seriously maintained! The previous owner has a large collection of guitars and two luthiers to whom he turns for bringing them to perfection. I had questions about the guitar's finish, since the seller said that the finish is original, and the guitar is really in very good condition for its age, there is some wear, and even the frets are original, but overall it is in very good condition for its almost 43 years! So, luthier Tracy Longo believes that the finish is original (this luthier is quite well known in the USA), and said that there were no neck repairs or other troubles. By the way, this luthier has been in the business for about 30 years, he has performed maintenance, set up and repaired over 11 000 guitars, he is a member of the Guild Of American Luthiers, has published 2 books on guitars published by the well-known Stewart MacDonald Guitar Supply, and he is also the founder and guitarist of the official Led Zeppelin tribute band - Led Zepagain. By the way, I also did not find any cracks, I checked the entire neck millimeter by millimeter - everything is clean, there are no cracks. The finish is very beautiful, tobacco, a little darker than my 77 LP. As I already wrote, the condition of the guitar is fantastic for its age, there are a few scuffs and dings, one of them is on the bottom of the neck in the area of the 3rd fret about 1-2 mm in the form of a dent, but it does not affect the sound and playability. The 4th string tuner is mounted on the original holes, but if you look closely, it stands a bit crooked, the same luthier said that it was most likely a defect during the initial production and the tuner was initially placed at a slight angle, but it holds tuning perfectly, it is more of a minor cosmetic flaw and that's it. The instrument resonates fantastically unplugged! The sound is powerful, confident, rebellious, voluminous in the neck and cutting in the bridge. Saturated lows, recognizable classic LP sound, rock tone. Definitely, fans of Gary Moore, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith,... will like it!!! The guitar is worth its money and even more.
