Tama Starclassic Birch (Japan) Genuine Japanese Tama Starclassic. Sizes: 12, 16, and 24 bass drum. Very high-quality drums, even though the Starclassic series is now made in China — this set was still made in Japan, back when Starclassic was still Japanese. The drums originally came wrapped, like many Starclassics. But their previous owner removed the wrap and painted them in a matte blue metallic, which shimmers very beautifully under different lighting and is pleasant to the touch. The painting is done quite well; all the edges (and of course the bearing edges) are clean, with no smudges or defects, except for a few minor irregularities in the applied paint that can only be seen if looked at closely. Overall, the set looks very beautiful, and furthermore, all the hardware was replaced with black (also genuine Tama). Originally, the bass drum had a tom mount, but it was later removed, and the traces of the mount were professionally filled with wood epoxy (this is like "liquid wood" that dries, repeating the shape and texture of the wood, and is even stronger than the wood itself in structure), and no traces of this mount are visible. Of course, the filled holes do NOT affect the sound in any way, since they were there anyway, and now they are evenly and neatly filled. It looks better this way, in my opinion). Очень качественные драмы, притом что серия Starclassic сейчас уже делается в Китае — этот сет сделан еще в Японии, когда Starclassic были еще японскими. Драмы изначально шли в обертке, как и многие Starclassic. Но их предыдущий хозяин снял обертку, и покрасил их в матовый синий металлик, который очень красиво переливается под разным освещением и приятен наощупь. Покраска сделана очень неплохо, все края (и само собой несущие края) чистые, никаких ляпов или дефектов, лишь кое-где есть небольшие неровности нанесенной краски, которые видны буквально если присматриваться вблизи. В целом сет выглядит очень красиво, к тому же вся фурнитура была заменена на черную (тоже фирменную Tama). Изначально на бочке было установлено крепление для томов, но затем его сняли и следы от крепления профессионально заделали деревянным эпоксидом (это как «жидкое дерево» которое засыхает повторяя форму и текстуру дерева и по структуре даже крепче самого дерева), и никаких следов от этого крепления не видно. Разумеется заделанные отверстия НИКАК не влияют на звук, т.к. все равно они там были, а щас они ровно и аккуратно заделаны. Так смотрится лучше, по-моему). Ножки для напольного тома в комплекте, а навесной крепится как обычно на стойку на стандартное крепление (можно докупить отдельно если нет в хозяйстве). Офигенный сет, добротный японский Starclassic.
