I have a personal LP (one of two) of the same model. None of the 1959 reissues sound as singing and deep as the Heritage 80. Yes, every guitar there is different and you have to listen to each one - my Heritage, for example, is perfect for tracking double-tracks on both sides - specifically riffs - it is light and dry in sound in the bridge, and I track some solos in the neck. This particular guitar is the best option for recording solos on overdrive in the neck a la Gary Moore - melodic, slow, bluesy solos that are simply to play and weep to. The thin overtones of the guitar simply sing the solos! Also, this specific LP has the best clean sound of any Les Paul I've heard - it is moderately mid-range and bassy, nothing sticks out particularly, which is ideal for a clean sound. Now I will tell you more about the series for those who do not know yet: It is no secret to anyone that the Holy Grail among Gibson guitars is the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, which our idols Jimmy Page, Slash, Joe Perry, Keith Richards, Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler, Billy Gibbons, Bonamassa, Ace Frehley, Joe Walsh, ... and dozens of other famous guitarists and collectors have played and continue to play. Due to the coolness of marketing and the desire to repeat past achievements, the Gibson company decides to make the first reissue of the 59 guitar - this is how the Gibson Les Paul Heritage 80 Series was born. In total, about 3-4 thousand copies of the series were produced from 1980 to 1982 (this one is number 3447 - this is evidenced by the corresponding mark under the serial number on the back of the headstock), the series included three types of models - Standard, Elite, and Award. Standard had a neck made of three pieces of mahogany, Elite - one-piece, Standard - Flame or Plain Top, Elite - quilted top, on the Standard there was a rosewood fretboard, on the Elite - ebony, Award were made only for dealers in the amount of 50 pcs, differed from the Elite series only in gold-plated hardware and a neck plate near the serial number on the back of the neck, they were made to reward stores that sell the Heritage series. This guitar - Standard - has a one-piece mahogany body (!), a top made of two pieces of selected maple Flame Top (!), a three-piece mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard, deep neck joint - long tenon, wide low frets, 59 neck profile - the most comfortable of all Gibsons, as for me, the guitar is full-weight without any weight relief. The Tim Shaw in the neck is just a bomb, in the bridge there is an 80s Seth Lover x Seymour Duncan PAF, which is brighter and rounder than the original. The guitar is essentially the best reissue of the 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard due to its specifications, it is a unique piece of art, its sound is unique. The guitar is the closest reissue to the original, this is not only my opinion, it is an objective opinion, you can easily Google this, no True Historic or other reissue, let alone new ones, can compare to this. The guitar is incredibly comfortable, lies in the hands, the pickups give real meat with the signature Gibson nasality. The guitar is already 38 years old and was used rarely, so it has been preserved in fairly good condition, there are only small marks on the binding at the bottom and cobwebbing in the lacquer, which only gives the guitar a certain charm. It comes with the original case. It sounds excellent in any equipment and looks like a million bucks. It has a beautiful plain top and a honey-burst color, photos prove it.
