It is worth adding that apart from Fender, Leo Fender was also the creator and ideological mastermind behind the Music Man brand, with which he also collaborated for many years, and all his experience and developments from Fender and Music Man have found their continuation and perfect form in G&L instruments. The bass is made of ash, the neck is maple, and the fretboard is rosewood. The instrument has a full active circuit + passive/active switch (for when you need one sound or the other), plus a series/parallel mini-switch (two single-coils or a humbucker - a very useful thing), as well as all active frequencies (when the preamp is on).
