NEW Gibson Midtown Kalamazoo The instrument is ABSOLUTELY NEW, I bought it new from a dealer and am selling it as new. The Midtown Kalamazoo model is essentially just a more practical version of the legendary Gibson Byrdland, in a more practical format for playing. It received the same body shape, scale, appointments (including the custom neck with inlaid split-diamond on the headstock) and Gibson ’57 Classic pickups as the Byrdland, but has a shallower body, maple top, mahogany back. The neck is set-in, mahogany. The fretboard is also rosewood. The guitar is very comfortable. It is a cool electro-acoustic but with a practical shallow body, and besides, it is hollow only on the sides, while in the middle (along under the pickups) the body features a solid mahogany center block, which adds density to the sound, and the guitar provides a golden mean in terms of blending the sound of a semi-acoustic and solid-body electric guitar. And another important point — both humbuckers split into single-coils using a push/pull knob, meaning you can also get single-coil sounds in any combination from it. Модель Midtown Kalamazoo это по сути просто более практичная версия легендарной Gibson Byrdland, в более практичном для игры формате. Она получила ту же форму деки, мензуру, оформление (в т.ч. кастомовский гриф с инкрустированной чешей на пере) и датчики Gibson ’57 Classic, что и Byrdland, но имеет менее глубокую деку, топ из клена, спину из красного дерева. Гриф — вклеенный, красное дерево. Накладка на грифе — так же палисандр. Гитара очень удобна. Крутейшая электро-акустика но с практичной неглубокой декой, к тому же, пустая она лишь по бокам, а посередине (вдоль под датчиками) в корпусе идет цельное красное дерево, что добавляет плотности в звуке, и гитара дает такую золотую середину в плане смешания звука полуакустической и цельной электрогитары. И еще важный момент — оба хамбакера разделяются на синглы с помощью пуш/пул регулятора, то есть из нее можно получить и сингловые звучания в любых комбинациях. То есть эта Midtown Kalamazoo запросто может быть основным инструментом даже если далеко не весь ваш репертуар требует звука полуакустики, она вполне может заменить собой Les Paul или Strat но разумеется с широким и обьемным характером полуакустического инструмента.
