American 7-string Carvin DC727. In general, almost all Carvin guitars are made to order (both from dealers and directly), and therefore each of their instruments is unique in its own way. The customer can choose every little detail, from the type of wood to the finish, hardware, wiring, pickup configuration, and inlays, fretboards, etc. As for me, Carvin is the most profitable American Custom Shop brand because they are unparalleled in price/quality of custom-made instruments. This guitar features a mahogany body, a neck-through maple neck, an ebony fretboard, rounded body edges, a 3-color sunburst finish with a matching headstock (this is also an option), Sperzel locking tuners, a fixed bridge with strings-through-body, and two American Carvin humbuckers with mini-switches for their individual coil-splitting into single-coils, as well as a traditional 3-way selector switch and master tone and volume knobs. A very versatile instrument with clear attack (thanks to the maple neck and ebony) and deep, meaty sustain provided by the mahogany and the neck-through construction. The guitar is in excellent condition, it has normal cosmetic wear from use, but no structural or functional defects. In the photo of the back of the neck, there are reflections and stripes in the wood that look like cracks, but these are just reflections and the texture of the wood under the lacquer - there are no cracks in the instrument at all.
