The addition of an f-hole and a semi-hollow body adds a throaty tone to the guitar's sound and rich resonance, providing rare depth and beauty of sound. Thanks to the pickups, there is no strong feedback, as often happens with hollow-body guitars at high gain; moreover, they perfectly complement the design and general sound of the guitar. Many guitarists and collectors were waiting for PRS to release Gibson-style editions, but with PRS quality. Many wanted the bridge construction to be not just one part, but two, like on Gibsons - tune-o-matic. PRS previously released the SC58 model, which became the first model with a 2-piece bridge. The new model features the same 2-piece bridge (a la tune-o-matic) as on the SC58, but with a 24.594 scale, like on the MC594 model, which, by the way, was also introduced slightly earlier in mid-2016. The first SC594 was introduced in early December 2016 in the Private Stock Guitar Of The Month November edition, but it had different wood specifications and, of course, a different price. The guitar is new, in the factory box, with all documents, case, etc., etc... Considering that our stores will hardly bring in even a serial 594 in the next two years, the custom color adds even more to the exclusivity! PRS SC 594 - is primarily focused on a vintage sound with a modern appearance and high-end details. This PRS certainly has its own updated sound, but primarily it is aimed at people who love the vintage old sound of the 50s, only without the hum, the woodiness in comfort, etc. It is the old sound wrapped like a candy in the best wood, the best tops, hardware, etc. It immediately feels right in the hands with a recognizable sound. Moreover, the guitar has coil-taps for single coils (push-pull on the tone), 2 volumes and 2 tones like on a LP, and also a 3-way toggle switch on the upper horn. Truly a masterful and versatile guitar, and also beautiful and comfortable. What is so new about it? I will name at least 10 of the most important factors of difference from other models: 1) 24.594” scale - something between the SC and the 25-inch PRS scale, still just as comfortable. 2) 58/15 LT pickups. LT means low turn, which gives the guitar a soft, transparent tone. 3) 2 tones + 2 volumes give maximum convenience for adjusting the volume and tone of the two pickups separately. 4) Relocated to the top (like on an LP) 3-way toggle switch - for those accustomed to the LP switch on the upper bout. 5) Push-pull on the tone - splits the humbuckers into single coils, making the guitar very versatile in sound. 6) New neck profile Pattern Vintage neck carve, has the same width as Pattern Regular, but is thicker from front to back, it is asymmetrically designed - on the side of the thin strings it is less massive, on the bass side - more fleshy. The instrument follows the shape of the palm, so it immediately fits into the hands. This is the most comfortable neck to date that I have touched, a neck "with balls"! 7) Updated Phase III Locking tuners - specifically, adjustment bolts for the tuner action, their "slip" have been added. 8) Tune-O-Matic (TOM) + Bridge - like on LP and SC58. 9) Binding on the neck (white trim) 10) Old School Birds - old abalone birds like on Prelawsuit In addition to everything, this is a limited edition with an F-hole, timed to the exhibition at the Experience 2018 factory. I think it is more than worth every cent! The guitar is NEW, straight from the PRS factory in the USA in the factory box, with a case, with all documents, stickers, adjustment tools, etc., etc...
