Baritone Telecasters Are Back: Fender Drops New 75th Anniversary Models
While Stratocaster discussions have dominated recent headlines, 2026 officially marks the landmark 75th anniversary of the legendary Telecaster.
Back in March, Fender unveiled its initial run of commemorative 75th Anniversary Telecaster guitars—highlighted by a build featuring a genuine Fender historical first. Now, the iconic guitar manufacturer has revealed its next trio of anniversary models, delivering exciting news for baritone players and vintage purists alike. Here is a complete breakdown of the new lineup.
Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Baritone Telecaster
The Baritone Telecaster makes its high-profile return to the official Fender lineup under the Player II banner, built around an extended 27-inch scale length and tuned in standard baritone B-to-B pitch.
This model is available in 3-Color Sunburst and Black featuring a rosewood fingerboard, alongside Lake Placid Blue and Butterscotch Blonde equipped with a maple fingerboard. The remaining hardware and specs mirror the flagship Player II lineup: a Modern C neck profile, 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, Alnico V single-coil pickups, and ClassicGear tuning machines.
For players who originally gravitated toward the Fender Telecaster Blacktop Baritone, Fender continues to expand its low-end electric offerings alongside the recently introduced Squier Jazzmaster Baritone and Player Fusion Jaguar Baritone.
This latest baritone model will be officially available starting October 1.
Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Telecaster
Expanding the standard 25.5-inch scale Player II collection, Fender is introducing a dedicated 75th Anniversary model featuring a custom 75th-engraved neck plate and four exclusive limited-edition finishes.
Option choices include Daphne Blue and Seafoam Green featuring rosewood fingerboards, or Candy Apple Red and Aztec Gold paired with maple fingerboards. Standard Player II specifications and pricing remain unchanged for this commemorative release.
Fender 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Nocaster
Rounding out the release, the iconic Nocaster returns to the catalog as the 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Nocaster.
Guitar historians know the legendary story behind the name: Fender originally introduced the electric model as the Broadcaster. However, Gretsch promptly notified the company that they held the trademark rights to the Broadkaster name for their drum lines. Consequently, Fender clipped the model name off the headstock decals for a transitional period before officially rebranding the instrument as the Telecaster.
Fender delivers a painstaking recreation of this ultra-rare vintage build, featuring an ash body finished in iconic Nocaster Blonde and treated with Fender's Heirloom Lacquer finish to replicate 75 years of authentic play wear.
The playing feel remains completely period-correct, utilizing a 1951 U-shaped hard rock maple neck with a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius and vintage-tall frets.
Historical appointments include narrow 12th-fret face dot spacing and a period-correct single Phillips-head fastener at the truss rod nut. Sonic duties are handled by custom 75th Anniversary Blackguard Telecaster pickups designed to capture iconic vintage chime, alongside a traditional three-brass-saddle bridge and single-line Fender Deluxe tuners.
