Custom 24 Pedigree with a Celestial Touch

The Astryx builds upon the foundation of the flagship PRS Custom 24, tailored precisely to Dany Villarreal's performance demands. The instrument features a carved 10-Top figured maple top over a premium mahogany back, paired with a 25” scale length, 24-fret Pattern Thin mahogany neck. Setting this model apart from traditional Custom 24 builds is an ebony fingerboard, delivering immediate attack and enhanced clarity.

Designed to take up massive sonic space in a three-piece rock arrangement, the Astryx offers rich sustain, effortless playability, and incredible sonic depth.

The model name Astryx derives from the Latin root for "star," signifying divine inspiration and connection. Paying homage to Dany Villarreal's Mexican roots, the unique 12th-fret inlay is named Solecito ("little sun"), matched by a mesmerizing multi-colored Ocaso ("sunset") high-gloss nitro finish that blends purple, pink, orange, and yellow hues.

Custom DMO Pickups and Gen III Hardware

At the heart of the instrument's tone is a set of PRS DMO (Dynamic, Musical, Open) humbuckers, engineered to deliver vocal-like responsiveness, open dynamics, and exceptional clarity under heavy gain.
